Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

HDD is the least intrusive way to place conduit, fiber or electrical distribution cables. Normally 1,000 foot shots can be accomplished with a small crew. Planning is the key to successful HDD work. Every foreign utility must be identified by using utility locates and then verifying visually by potholing. In addition the pothole must be large enough and deep enough for the observer to watch the drill head emerge at the prescribed depth with sufficient separation from the foreign utility. Our methods, crew training and quality assurance helps us avoid utility strikes. In 2019 and 2021 we submitted over 100,000 dig tickets with no more than two utility strikes. Let us bring our production, safety record and project management to your next project. Use our Request a Project to submit your bid documents.
