Municipal Utility Services
Most villages, municipalities and cities provide some or most of the utilities their residents depend on. This might include, at a minimum sewer, water, and waste disposal. In some cases, electric power, and internet service with fiber optic cable. In addition to these services municipalities have street, traffic control and architectural illumination to maintain. Electric Conduit Construction (ECC) has been fortunate to win this type of work and gain experience maintaining municipal, utility infrastructure.
ECC employs electricians, linemen, fiber technicians, splicing technicians, heavy equipment operators and laborers. ECC’s capabilities include civil, concrete pads, foundations and piers, open cut trench work, horizontal directional drilling, conduit placement, fiber optic cable placement, distribution power. ECC can set new poles and place fiber optic and distribution power using overhead methods.

ECC builds fiber rings and links nodes by splicing laterals. ECC provides splicing, testing and termination for fiber installations. ECC also provides 24/7 emergency call out service if fiber or power is cut.
Customers include Kane County, Will County, Cook County, Chicago, Oak Park, Lake Forest, Village of Lyons, Village of Schaumburg, Mokena, Naperville, Batavia, and Aurora.
Typical work includes directional drilling for fiber or power, pole to pole fiber and electric, LED replacement lighting on streets and bridges, LED driver and load switch replacement, traffic control conduits, cabinets, detector loops, equipment pads and aprons. Wiring, controllers, hand holes, street lighting, conduits, foundations, replacement poles, halogen to LED upgrades, decorative lamps and parking lot poles and lamps.
